My Experience of Watching Ireland vs Lithuania Live

Me my Dad and my best friend all went to the Aviva to watch the Ireland vs Lithuania match.

We entered the stadium and bought some things to eat. Then we went to are, seats which were towards the top of the stadium.

First Half

After that the match started. The match started pretty slowly with Ireland having a few chances the one that stood out to me was Ryan Manning's shot from the edge of the box which went narrowly wide.

Second Half

The second half started with Ireland immediately impressing but they had no success in the final 3rd. Ireland kept banging on the door and in the 89th minute knight clipped a ball into Egan who headed the ball into the bottom corner but the Lithuanian keeper saved it. Then in the 97th minute Troy Parrot hit a fantastic shot which found its way into the back of the net.

Player of the match

My player of the match is Ogbene, because, he had 3 goals disallowed and he made some superb runs so that's why he is my man of the match.

Under Performer of the match

My under performer of the match is the referee Jonathan Lardot because he made a lot of questionable decisions especially when Ogbene went downcast outside the box which I thought was a free kick at the least. Lastly Lithuania wasted a lot of time especially when the goalkeeper caught the ball and then went down even though there was no player near him.
