Manchester City vs Liverpool
A thrilling end to end game.
Pre match thoughts
Pre match I thought that Liverpool would win by 1 goal and the overall score would be 2-1 to Liverpool.
Analysis
The first half started with a very slow tempo with both teams trying to keep possession rather than play the fast free flowing football we were expecting. The second half started and just before the hour mark Salah with some exquisite ball control runs through Man City's midfield and put through a brilliant ball for Mané to score one on one with the keeper. City weren't about to give up and in the 69th minute a brilliant run from Jesus who passed it in to Foden who placed it right in corner of the goal. After that Millner had a bit of luck on his side he was already on a yellow card when he tripped up Silva without receiving a second booking much to the frustration of Pep who got a yellow card for complaining. Soon after both teams were trying to find a late winner and boy did Salah deliver in the 76th minute he made an astonishing run and shot past Ederson's outstretched glove. Manchester City were not about to lose a game that they deserved a point for and in the 81st minute a long range effort which deflected off Joel Matip's knee went into the back of the net.
Summary
Overall it was a brilliant game which Salah showed why he is one of the best players in the world.
Player of the Match
My player of the match is Mohamed Salah he's superb trickery and ball control was insane. He was also so calm on the ball.
Under performer Of The match
My under performer of the match is Jack Grealish he played for 1 hour and didn't get into many 1 on 1 situations and he was pretty sloppy with the ball.
